Early Onset Parkinson’s
Encouragement & Awareness
Early Onset Parkinson’s may have your body SHAKIN’ from head to toe… but that doesn’t mean you have to be SHAKEN in your mind, emotions, and spirit!
How are YOU Shakin’ Parkinson’s?
Welcome to SHAKIN’ NOT SHAKEN!… a website community that was created by a “young” man who received a diagnosis of “Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease” (EOPD) in his late 40’s.
Unlike other PD websites that you may have explored, you’ve just entered a different kind of Early Onset Parkinson’s world where you will find that those of us that are Shakin’ WITH it (PD) are not Shaken BY it! In other words…
We own it!
It does not own us!
By definition, “Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease” refers to a diagnosis given to a person under the age of 50. Since many of the symptoms and treatments for Parkinson’s Disease are relevant and similar regardless of the age you are diagnosed, likewise much of the content you’ll find here pertains to all PD folks as well.
However, there are several distinct differences in how PD affects the Early Onset crowd. As such, special emphasis will be placed on encouraging, educating, and providing specific resources for the Early Onset PD community.
